What is Rigging in Animation?
In animation, “rigging” refers to the process of placing skeletons ( virtual bones) in a model. It can be easily pictured as making a virtual puppet. Animation rigging can be used for both 2D and 3D animations, which have a few minor changes but mostly follow the same path.
