The duration of Bachelor of Vocational Education is for a total of three years.

Students must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • They have to pass 10+2 from a recognized board or university
  • They must have obtained not less than 40% marks in aggregate in 12th standard

B.Voc opens multiple doors for the students during and after the completion of the course. The course deals more with application-based studies rather than focusing on only theoretical knowledge.

If a candidate is unable to complete the B.Voc course, they will still be awarded a diploma after successful completion of the first-year or an advanced diploma after successful completion of the second year.

Predominantly, there are two distinct benefits of B.Voc courses over degree courses. Unlike traditional graduation courses, B.Voc courses emphasize more on practical and vocational studies instead of general studies. The sole emphasis of B.Voc is to create employable manpower instead of certified students.

Secondly, B.Voc courses features multiple entry/ exit points which thereby help students to earn experience while pursuing their degree courses. This criteria has been specially emphasised in NEP 2020 by the Government of India.

The average fee for Bachelor of Vocational Education (B.Voc) is INR 1,00,000 per semester.

Students could go for a Master’s Degree in vocational education after completing BVoc.

Yes, vocational degrees are considered equivalent to other bachelor’s degrees offered. They can pursue any course thereafter where the eligibility requirement is a bachelor’s qualification.
